1.What did you do in 2003 that you'd never done before?

go to europe

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

i don't make resolutions, but this year i am resolving to lose some weight and be healthier.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

ummmm.... nope.

4. Did anyone close to you die?

my uncle chuck

5. What countries did you visit?

england and france

6. What would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003?

"A boyfriend. But I say that every year." ditto

7. What date from 2003 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

hrmmm. june 13, when i saw coldplay, that was rad. and dec 02, meeting matt nathanson :D

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

deciding that i no longer needed mark, and surviving without him.

9. What was your biggest failure?

ummm. i guess still being really afraid to fail or be rejected which keeps me from doing a lot of stuff.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

Nothing major.

11. What was the best thing you bought?

matt nathanson's "beneath these fireworks" and various things for my apartment

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?

ummm... jeez. i can't really think of anyone off the top of my head. that's kind of sad.

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?

ugh. too many. mark, the president and pretty much his entire administration, phil and other guys liking stupid brainless girls

14. Where did most of your money go?

trip to europe, beer, mcdonalds, cds and concerts

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

coldplay, meeting matt nathanson, return of the king, my 21st birthday

16. What song will always remind you of 2003?

beyonce's "crazy in love" unfortunately, and much more fortunately, matt nathanson's "laid"

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

i. happier or sadder?

happier for the most part

ii. thinner or fatter?

fatter. yuck.

iii. richer or poorer?

about the same i guess.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?

kissing boys

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?

throwing up... yuck.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?

Already spent it in new jersey.

21. Did you fall in love in 2003?

nope

23. How many one-night stands?

just one

24. What was your favourite TV program?

newlyweds of course!

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?

hate is the wrong word i guess.

26. What was the best book you read?

the da vinci code, easily.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?

matt nathanson, even though i "discovered" him before this year.

28. What did you want and get?

to go to england, to kiss three boys, to meet matt nathanson, to be honest with nicholas, to hang out a lot with BEC, to spend the summer with one of my best friends, to get an A in my honors seminar, to get a fellowship nomination.

29. What did you want and not get?

any of the three boys that i kissed to want to date me, to bring my gpa up to magna cum laude status (ill graduate cum laude).

30. What was your favourite film of this year?

return of the king, 28 days later, lost in translation

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?

i wrote a paper, i was 21. (but i had a party the night before.)

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably satisfying?

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2003?

hmmm... one part british wannabe, one part surfer girl, one part abercrombie prepster.

34. What kept you sane?

two out of three of my roommates, KL, rita.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?

oooh, who didn't i fancy? orlando bloom, ashton kutcher, chris martin, guy berryman, jonny buckland, jack johnson, and ooooof course, matt nathanson.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?

the stupid fucking war in iraq.

37. Who did you miss?

lauren and val in the summer. rita when i'm at school.

38. Who was the best new person you met?

my roommate abbie, NCB/MROE, phil.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2003:

sometimes you have to let things go without closure.
