yes, i have decided that being kate bosworth wouldn't be such a bad thing after all, since she is, in addition to being the star of blue crush, the girlfriend of the amazingly appealing orlando bloom.

apparently, as i have been told by my dad, kate bosworth and i share similar face structure. so maybe, if i went to LA and dyed my hair blonder (more blonde?), and lost twenty pounds, and ran into orlando bloom, maybe he would think i was her.

maybe not.

anyway, i just watched pirates of the caribbean, and i had to share the fact that orlando bloom's voice actually gives me shivers. he's that dead sexy.

last week, i went to meet my friend lauren at penn station, and i was meandering and happened to be startled by the cover of GQ in the window of a bookstore. meeeow! so i venture into the store, searching around for a copy, but there are none to be found. finally, i spot one in the hands of a girl in the astronomically long line.

"excuse me," i say, politely as possible, "where did you find that copy of GQ?"

i swear i saw her move the magazine slightly tighter against her chest. she was british, which allowed me to forgive her. "love," she laughed, "i climbed over the display in the front to get my hands on this one."

now that's what i call devotion.

so, i left orlando-less, but as i am going to the airport on wednesday, fear not, i plan on getting a copy.
