i am off to phoenix tonight for a week, hopefully *fingers crossed* a side trip to san diego as well. i'd love to see the pacific ocean.

i haven't been doing much of interest lately. i finally finished all my grad school and fellowship applications. i got an email from notre dame yesterday asking if i wanted to be considered for a certain fellowship, so i took that as a positive sign. but other than that i won't really find out about these things until march or april, so i'm not holding my breath.

my goal for the next couple of months is to really enjoy life and my college friends. considering there is a pretty good chance that i will end up somewhere far away from everyone, i want to make sure that senior year lives up to its hype.

*sigh* i can't believe i'm a senior in college. i wish i had another year.

i also have money issues to deal with... depending on how much i spend in phoenix/the west coast, i will probably have to take money out of my savings account to buy books. i have to factor in that i am going to a bruins game and four matt nathanson concerts (YAY!) all before february 9th, so that's going to be a big chunk of change. (not really on the tickets but on beer.) i'm just glad i made the wise decision to come home for spring break. worse comes to worse, i can just head up to new paltz for a few days and hang out with my friends there, which is actually awesome. hopefully though, i may be invited to some interviews at grad schools and be jet-setting all over the place.

i just hope that one of my grad school options includes a feasible living stipend, because if it does i might be able to negotiate with my parents to get a non-paying internship with the dean campaign. it would be wicked cool to work for a presidential campaign, and its a once in a lifetime opportunity. but if i need money, i'm going to have to do what i did in 2001 and work as a helper on construction sites, the prospect of which really doesn't excite me.

ah well, see, i am already forgetting my goal to live for and enjoy the present. i'm going to go do that now :)
