it's beautiful outside. this morning as i was trying to hurry to class (late again) and singing "pretty the world" to myself (i actually wake up singing matt nathanson nowadays), i saw this car stopped in the middle of the road, driver's side door carelessly flung open. it was an old volvo.

a boy was standing on the grass next to it, holding a girl in his arms. and they kissed like they meant it.

i wanted that to be me.

but it never is.
